Wineries & Distilleries in Saratoga, NY

The Saratoga Winery

462 Route 29 Saratoga Springs, NY 12866

The Saratoga Winery is open year-round, so you can enjoy their Adirondack deck, sunny patios, and lawn area with one of a wide variety of exceptional wines, local craft beers, and spirits in the summer months, and warm up by the coal stove when it starts to get chilly. The Saratoga Winery also hosts special and annual events and live music throughout the year.

Our Recommendation: Any of the signature, all-natural style Melomel wines, or handcrafted wines made on the premises with NY State grapes, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Semi Dry Riesling, Saratoga White, and Rustic Red.

Walt & Whitman Brewing

20 Lake Ave Saratoga Springs, NY 12866

Walt & Whitman provides you with delicious fresh Detroit style pizza, exceptional beer selection, and a laid-back atmosphere. The brewery has a spacious indoor seating area and dog friendly patio so even your four-legged friends can join you for a beer. The food is made-to-order, so it is hot and fresh right from the fire pizza oven. The main attraction though has to be the beer – so many delicious choices to choose from and satisfies every palate.

Our Recommendation: Light & Sound Discipline – A dark brown porter classically brewed with Munich, Chocolate, and Chrystal Malt. It has notes of Chocolate, Biscuit, and Caramel that will be the perfect beverage after a delicious meal.

Druthers Brewing Company

381 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866

Druthers’ Brewing Company features a 20-keg brewing system where patrons can enjoy one of Druthers’ hand-made beers while enjoying some of the best comfort food, like their famous macaroni and cheese and seasonal favorites.

Our Recommendation: The Golden Rule Blonde- A German-style Kolsch, light gold in color with a balance of malt and hops. German pale malts and Crystal hops create a beer that is subtle, not boring.

Thirsty Owl

184 S Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866

The Thirsty Owl Outlet & Wine Garden features nationally acclaimed wines produced at the family-owned vineyard and winery on the shores of beautiful Cayuga Lake in the Finger Lakes. They offer over 20 different wines including the region’s famed Rieslings, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, and Chardonnay, as well as elegant reds such as Pinot Noir, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Meritage.

Our Recommendation: 2020 Appalachian Bottom Dweller Dry Riesling- Dry, with green melon fruit and bursting minerality. A NEW single vineyard Riesling from a small one-acre block rich with mineral character.
